United Kingdom 2018 Range Rover Autobiography TDV6 Corris Grey

I would like the new model to be:

Lower weight
40 mpg economy with hybrid electric drive
To be as reliable as a Freelander
Have heads up display with night vision and automatic hazard avoidance in emergencies
Active cruise control operable to stand still do it self drives in queuing traffic up to the pre set cruise speed, Audi A8 has this - it can be boring having to drive yourself on the M25!
Full smart phone integration with ability to display Google Maps and real traffic info from google or vodafone (TomTom HD Traffic)
Heated door seals to avoid ice up on doors
Heated side windows
Rear seats that are more comfortable like an A8, 7 series, S Class etc
Electric door closing
Double glazing
Handling that matches current executive saloons
Variable damping
Dynamic road setting
Electric rear seat folding
NOT to have seven seats
100% LED lighting including headlights 2018 Range Rover Autobiography
2010 Land Rover Freelander XS
1959 Series II
1950, 1952, 1954. 1955, 1957 Series I
1952 Minerva Ambulance

Gary,
I wonder if they can be retorfitted to a FFRR. I am sick to death of closing the door to have it 'blow over' or off the dash. Consequence a ticket, which i pay despite having semi-dip plates......

Just been out to have a proper look. Definitely not on my D3 (2008 XS spec) - unless they're the plastic covers marked with the word "Airbag" Whistle Graham

Some of the things that Ford dropped from the BMW design on the L322 -

Air jack
Diff Lockers

The Rangie should always be the king off the road, please keep it that way Tata. __________________

i'd like a rack or something somewhere that could accommodate say 4 bottles of wine.

The 'pockets' in the back of the front seats don't seem as roomy as they were in my RRS.

Some way of making the readouts on the TFT dash bigger and putting the sat nav info on the dash as well.

Can't read mine without my glasses which I do not need to drive.

My tuppence worth. You will note my list is centred around the interface with the driver. (We make safety electronics using LCD screens and I cannot believe how undeveloped the RR is). Some have already been suggested.

HUD
Integration with infotainment - Nav/ ICE/ Telephone in dashboard LCD. [Do we really need a rev counter when in automatic selected on the transmission?]
Big legends and buttons on central screen- I cannot see 'playing now/track info', station details etc without re-focussing - dangerous
User POIs for Satnav
Proper km option on speedometer for European travel
Mute button for audio on steering wheel.
Easy access for speed warning - ever tried to change it as you move from 50-40-30 and back?
Speed limiter?
Voice setting of SatNav. Internet connectivity great if available but your stuffed for google maps without.

Wipers that work without leaving splash.
Decent reversing lights.
Massage seat option
Centre screen within easier reach.
Decent oddments tray/cubby in centre console. Move the gear selector (steering column selector?) and terrain response. I use the terrain response but it is not necessarily needed under your hand at all times.

Bluetooth music streaming
Text to voice.
iPhone cradle
iPhone pause control that does not mute (speed camera app gets muted - so have to manually pause iPhone in centre console).
Dump the CD changer to rear (make it a 10 disc or just an option - many have their music on USB) Bigger refrigerated glovebox as a result.
WiFi for uploading music, POI etc.
Hard disk drive for music.
Wireless and wired headphone option for dual view when in DVD/TV

I cannot get excited by electric closure and opening for tailgates and doors as it is all extra weight. I stand tapping my foot waiting for electric tailgate closure on the 'works' Merc estate (if it fails you come back to find the tailgate open).

Winch option and double recovery points (for a bridle) would be welcome off road enhancement.

living in hope
