that sounds like a damp issue to me...when i first got my car it kept losing the radio screen,it turned out to be the nav unit was water damaged...replaced with the mk4 dvd unit all good.. V8 facelift Range Rover Autobiography 22" wheels.

If you pull out your nav box and remove the two plugs on the rear. Below the nav towards the sub woofer is the TV tuner box (silver box) remove the two plugs (same plugs as the nav box)...
