don't know if you 'can' or not, but most cooker switches are 30amp and that should be fine for the oven and hob. We have an induction ceramic hob thingy currently and both that and the oven is on a 30amp direct cable (via a fused cooker switch) back to the main consumer unit. Thumbs Up

They both have their own cable, which then both go to one switch with one cable back to the consumer unit. Thumbs Up

As a hob, it's fine, although I do miss using a wok for some quick stir fry action.
It's quite an old one and we're looking at moving back to Gas (We didn't have gas in the house when I first moved in). Main reason to move back to gas is as above Laughing

BUT on the positive side, the induction hob is very flat, so gives the kitchen a much smoother line. For a central island hob, is ideal i would say. Thumbs Up

Check the ratings on your cooker and hob before doing this. If together they exceed 30 amps then its a no no.

Would make more sense to run a separate supply but that is probably not possible, but perhaps at least run a spur from the cooker connection on the wall so you have a separate connection point / and switch?

By law this needs to be checked by a qualified electrician. Competent person is probably not good enough (even though we all do it!) Wink .
