I've received the tubes I bought from Alan. Fitting looks as though it should be easy, but I'm obviously missing something as there is no obvious way to attach the inner end of the leg to the car.

I think fixing points should be located under the plastic sill which needs to be removed as I had to do this on my Disco. Not sure though |

Right, I've now had a look with the benefit of the photos and the LR instructions. The missing fixings are in fact covered by circular pieces of sticky plastic. Once you know what they are, peeling them of reveals a nice M8 tapped hole |

I've had to order up some stainless bolts (and some Autosol...), but they'll be nice and shiny soon. And fitted. Will post a few photies when they're done. Graham

Right, all done. What a complete bastard of a job. One of the M8 nuts welded to the inside of the chassis was impossible to get the bolt into, just wouldn't catch. Eventually did bu was very stiff indeed... resorted to a bit of force and |
