I use swan's tears. No seriously though I found that the additives/detergents in the major brands does seem to make a difference. However I've never bothered my arse to check if it beats the price delta between supermarket and major brand. As always YMMV! (literally) |

Is It really worth paying the extra for the super varieties when you make maybe 1 mpg more? 06MY 4.4 V8 Autobiography Cairns Blue with Navy & Parchment Interior |

It really bugs me when the petrol companies try to get you to pay extra to get a fuel which might give you slightly better economy.

Over here we have the choice 92, 95 or 98 octane fuel. Had a Hyundai Santa Fe V6. Motor ran far smoother on 95/98 fuel. Also got an extra 50-60 miles per tank full. So yes extra cost was well worth it. As we have a fuel tank on our farm car only got the good stuff every 3 or 4 fill. You could realy notice the diffence
