Steering wheel height adjustment problem

I'm having a problem with the height adjustment on my FF. It is if it doesn't know where it is. When it starts it will move into a random position. When I get out it may move to the exit position but the motor carries on regardless. Equally I have got in it and it will motor down to the lowest position possible which is impossible to drive with. I have to switch the ignition off and on again and then move it up by the stick.

Any idea's

Cheers

There is a fix for this on the forum somewhere, requires parts and labour!

Suggest for now you set the right position and turn it off! .
