My SC suffered from a squeak on startup, which was rectified under warranty by replacing the main drive belt pulley.

FYI my SC is also a 2006, the warranty is the approved used warrenty that comes with a main dealer supplied car.

Its a common issue but the squeak normally disappears after warm up. Not sure if leaving it will lead to mechanical failure? |

The paperwork shows less than £50 all in for the parts, but that may be discounted as the LR warranty picked up the bill. Gone - Range Rover Supercharged 2006 |

Had exactly the same problem on my 2006 SC, although in my case they diagnosed a faulty belt which was replaced (not under the LR warranty sadly)... I thought it would be the pulley and was sceptical a new belt would fix it, but the noise has certainly gone - along with a clutch of notes from my wallet Range Rover TDV8 Vogue SE |
