if you have a touch screen then the only thing you can upgrade is the dvd disc to a newer one... |

the 2009/2010 disc obviously gives you newer mapping and upgrades the nav firmware ..there is also a 2011 disc which only gives you newer maps.. |

Why it's the best system? I'm sure all the owners of the Mk iV system would gladly swap with you if it was compatible! Range Rover-less at the moment - Pining! |

really ? why is that ? My remark was really down the fact that any sort of upgrade is very limited quite shocked to here the newer mk4 model is even worse. |

The mark 3 models date back to the 90's. The mark 4's were early 2000's, the touch screen was introduced in 2005, and is still not bad for factory fit satnav. I've never felt a need to upgrade it. I don't think Land Rover did until 2010, however this unit would certainly not be compatible with our cars. Range Rover-less at the moment - Pining! |

What I found was that when you upgrade the Sat Nav disc and the firmware auto updates you lose ability to input destination on the move. I believe it has to be reset at dealers.
