4 Euro in Halfords!

Fitted this to steering wheel as mine was a bit sticky. It will do until decide to change. Pleasing thing is it is the exact colour match of the sand interior and doesnt look too bad . I was gonna take it off only for a friend though I had fitted a new steering wheel desired effect Thumbs Up Thumbs Up

Hmmm, you've gone from sticky to tacky.

I'm sorry but Halfords accessories belong on a £500 Saxo.

Oh dear, it's catching on Yawn

Bloody tight fit (it's for 15" wheels, FFRR = 16"). Do it on a warm day, and warm up the cover first. Fit three qaurters of it then leave for 10 minutes to stretch out a bit.

When the leather on my RRS's wheel started to go sticky then dry and cracked I was on the verge of buying a replacement wheel. I decided to try Gliptone on the wheel before I committed to stripping the wheel down. A good clean with gliptone removed loads of dirt I didn't even realise was there but still left the wheel looking awful in places where it was still dried and cracked. Applied gliptone liquid leather conditioner and it brought the leather back to life. You could literally see the leather rehydrating in front of your eyes! Also cleaning and conditioning the leather made the parts of the wheel that were still feeling slightly sticky feel like new again.

Joe it looks stunning Thumbs Up Im looking for a slightly better solution and think i may have found it here that if he does a sand and black combination.

I think this would be a more permanent cost effective solution as its leather and you stitch it on yourself so covers front and back of wheel.

I ordered my gliptone kit last Thursday, i will post some before and after piccies once i have applied the cleaner and conditioner. The wheel currently is shiney and 'sticky'.

Finally,my tuppence worth, the wheel cover from halfords looks far better in the piccys on this thread than in the flesh - I was put off by the 'ripspeed' lettering at the top of the cover. I do tend to agree, as a temp solution it would look fine.
