Coolant Leak - What is this piece called????

Took my car in for a service today and drove about 10 miles before had the engine overheating warning come up.
Pulled over and couldn't find anything amiss, no mass of steam or gallons of oil under the car but got recovered to a garage.
They have sent me some pictures of the part that has broken but I cannot identify it in the parts catalogue at all and wondered if anyone could tell me please. Also they said the coolant wasnt circulating so that probably needs replacing too (not sure if the fact the system was no longer a sealed unit would cause that)
This is the part he is showing me (clearly broken) but the part it appears to be, circled doesnt seem to have a part number!

I've just changed all my hoses and I think that one is LR022730.

Is this a fairly common failure after 10 or 12 years of use, am wondering whether I should replace mine as they don't look brilliant to the naked eye, must get pretty hot around there near the bulkhead Sad

Pete, I've just had to do my cooler and full thermostat housing. I've replaced all the hoses on top of the engine because everything was just brittle and snapped although there was nothing wrong with the actual hoses.

I've done the same as Kevin. My hose fell apart when I removed it (brittle plastic). I ordered a new set from Maltings. 2012 Vogue TDV8 in Aintree green over sand

Was there any particular reason you replaced the thermostat housing or was it just precautionary?

I have a leak at the same spot but I am not sure if replacing the LR022730 will be enough after looking the picture of LR022730. It doesnt seem to have the connector on it where I actually have a leak.
Can anyone tell me if I need to replace more parts?

Ebay picture of the LR022730 shows no angled connector?

OR does this part I marked above belongs to the hose connecting to LR022730? If yes what is the part number of this hose?
