L405 DRL

The front DRL's work fine, but how can I get the rear lights to come on at the same time. I like having both front & rear lights on during the day. I had this function on my previous sport. The rear lights, from memory came on when drive was selected. At present both front & rear lights illuminate when the door is opened. Start engine, front Drl comes on but rear lights are off. 2021 RR Fifty

I cheated when I had my first 405 and simply put a jumper fuse holder wire thingy with a blocking diode in it between the DRL fuse and the rear light fuse/s.

The diode was in there to stop the rear lights powering up the front DRL's when you actually switch the lights on...

And they still work today! (as my wife now owns it) Thumbs Up

I don't think my MY21's front DRLs are bright enough for open road use in the Australian sunlight so I'm switching on the headlights when I remember. I had my L322's headlights set as DRLs.

The LED headlights on my '21 Vogue SE aren't a patch on the LED bi-xenons and HID high-beam fill-ins on my L322. High beam output is weak, the band has inadequate height for undulating roads and has inadequate width. I'll have to do something to improve high-beam light.

Try changing the CCF to Scandinavian Graeme as they have to have 55w front lamps on as standard 24hrs... IE brighter than DRL's Thumbs Up

Thanks Craig, that's what I had my L322 set to, but I suspect that I need a G4 IIDtool to do much with my MY21. I was suprised that my G3 read and cleared faults from at least some ecus but it isn't licensed to the L405 so can't even try to change CF settings.

Yes I’ve just double checked Stan and this one’s rear lights definitely come on with DRL. I’m sure it’s a CCF adjustment on 18+ 405’s sir… 🫶
