Curious - FF RR alternatives?

Hi all,
Just wondered what 4x4 you would have bought if you couldn't have a Range Rover? Was agonising over this decision myself before I came to my senses and bought another full fat!

A Bentayga is fundamentally a Q7, however nice the wood is.

This is timely. I was just in Texas for ten days and was looking at their local cars with interest. And I must say I am drawn to the Escalade (this is one I photographed in Memphis last year).

And this GMC Denali also caught my eye.

Both similar sized to the Full Fat. It is something I am thinking about. Any thoughts on those, chaps? 2017 4.4 SDV8 Autobiography in black

Quite a bit bigger than a RR aren't they? Maybe that's just me stereotyping...

As a passenger (i.e. in the back) I've always liked the Lincoln Navigator.

IMO there isn't a viable alternative to the FF. For most of what I value the Urus would probably work - I've also had a go in the Eletra R which is properly quick and a nice place to be. But sometimes I need to tow and sometimes I need more space and neither will do that. To my eye the yank tanks are fugly (we all differ on that obvs) and my past experience (F150 5.4SC anniversary) proved that while fast enough they don't handle or tow. German's are fine, but no gentlemen's lounge. No experience of the Roller/Bentley - just too expensive for me. DBX a poss but not tried one yet. Mike - MPx

Good point, so I asked GPT and here is what it came up with.

Size Comparison: L405 Range Rover vs. Cadillac Escalade vs. GMC Yukon Denali

Range Rover L405 (Standard)
• Length: 5,000 mm (196.9 in)
• Width: 2,073 mm (81.6 in)
• Height: 1,869 mm (73.6 in)
• Wheelbase: 2,922 mm (115.1 in)

Range Rover L405 (LWB)
• Length: 5,200 mm (204.7 in)
• Width: 2,073 mm (81.6 in)
• Height: 1,869 mm (73.6 in)
• Wheelbase: 3,120 mm (122.8 in)

Cadillac Escalade (2023)
• Length: 5,382 mm (211.9 in)
• Width: 2,060 mm (81.1 in)
• Height: 1,948 mm (76.7 in)
• Wheelbase: 3,071 mm (120.9 in)

Cadillac Escalade ESV (2023)
• Length: 5,766 mm (227.1 in)
• Width: 2,060 mm (81.1 in)
• Height: 1,948 mm (76.7 in)
• Wheelbase: 3,407 mm (134.1 in)

GMC Yukon Denali (2023)
• Length: 5,344 mm (210.4 in)
• Width: 2,057 mm (81 in)
• Height: 1,943 mm (76.5 in)
• Wheelbase: 3,071 mm (120.9 in)

GMC Yukon Denali XL (2023)
• Length: 5,720 mm (225.2 in)
• Width: 2,057 mm (81 in)
• Height: 1,943 mm (76.5 in)
• Wheelbase: 3,407 mm (134.1 in)

Summary:

The L405 Range Rover is the smallest of the three.

The standard Escalade and Yukon Denali are about 34 cm (13.5 in) longer than the standard Range Rover.

The Escalade ESV and Yukon Denali XL are significantly longer, adding over 56 cm (22 in) more length than the standard Escalade/Yukon.

Width is similar across all three at around 2,060-2,073 mm (81 in).

Escalade and Yukon Denali are about 76 mm (3 in) taller than the Range Rover. 2017 4.4 SDV8 Autobiography in black
