Actually there was a batch of RRSports built with 4.4S/C engines - about six of them. One of them ended up at the Dunkeld LRE
for a few years, rescued from the Solihull crusher. It wasn't put into production as a 4.4 as they found engine longevity wasn't great. it was sleeved down to the 4.2 with thicker liners in the cylinders (or something like that). 2018 Mini Countryman Cooper S E All4 PHEV in Melting Silver - it’s whisper quiet in EV and polluter modes

Scotland 2005 Range Rover Supercharged 4.2 SC V8 Zambezi Silver

Hi Guys,

the arden is based on the 4.2 AJ Jaguar engine only and costs a bomb!!!

the other entry is correct there was a very elite number of RRS with a SC on the M62 engine, but as the write states the piston barrels get hammered which totals the block, hence the bore out and liners to 4.2 ltrs.

thenm the BMW engine was replaced to the Jag and all hope was lost of a monster.

The link is actual correct scarey, but your as well to go to vortex in the USA direct.

I have fuill coversion details if required via PM and email for all interested.

just don't have the cash to do it, with exhaust and kit 500 HP is possible, but gearbox needs to be new and wont last if punished!!!, you have been warned

the arden engine above was advertised as a 4.4 range rover ....maybe they got there wires crossed ....rob would you pm me the details Thumbs Up if only to window shop

this is what it says on the website

Range Rover 4.4 liter V8:

Arden performance, a German tuning company specializing in luxury performance vehicles have developed a complete performance package for your Range Rover V8.

The package includes:

1- An engine rebuild kit including:

a. Stroker crank bringing up the displacement to 4.8 litres

b. Lower compression 9:1 pistons

2- Complete supercharger package

3- intercooler
4- ECU reprogramming

The kit produces an astounding 500 hp @ 6250rpms and 516 ft.lbs of torque @ 4250 rpms. This is capable of accelerating the vehicle from 0-60mph in a short time of 6.5 seconds.

Performance can further be improved using Arden designed ‘off road only’ performance headers and high flow cats. Furthermore, a high flow exhaust system is available jointly through Arden / Meisterschaft "RANGEISM WILL NOT BE TOLERATED"

Not to be bashful but I know I am, I contacted them and vortex in the USA last year as I was going to drive to Germany to have it done. Hence it is not a M62 engine but an AJ, look at the belt arrangement and the alternator
It is not water cooled... Thumbs Up Current vehicles

Scotland 2005 Range Rover Supercharged 4.2 SC V8 Zambezi Silver

well i have decided, because i got a steal of a price on a complete supercharger!! to build my own kit together!!

here is the Supercharger 3rd Generation M90 Eaton unit

I then secured a intercooler, this may have to change as there is not much room at the front of the M62 4.4 radiator and bumper!!,

so I have look at where this bad Boy M90 unit will fit and the rotation is right for it at the right hand side from the front of the car, so with a fabricated mounting over the cylinder head cover at that side it could with a purchase of the Vortech bottom pulley and fan drive extention, be driven with its own belt and tensioner, but some guarding will be required and belt protection for hoses.

here the image of under the bonnet!

Think might have to go for a water cooled intercooler than can fit either above the sceen washer tank, or a swap below in that location could be done, but there is available an air duct zone above to route force air around what ever intercooler I decide on.

I need to custom source an intake spout for the M90 which will on the output has to have a max 6-7PSI bypass with pressure activation on the outlet, thus if I throttle back the supercharger just recycles the air till feed automatically decreases the built pressure and the bypass closes, therefore no lag always charge available when required!! may even be able to use a turbo system here too allow a nice in car Pressure gauge.

Will keep you advised as I progress, but am waiting on full supercharger service kit so its all new when fitted.

may need forum help to get brackets made and maybe if a map ends up being needed, but 6-7 PSI should be okay with standard setup.
