Ride Height.

So looking at RR today ( 2005 3.0 TD6) and one front corner looks lower.

On side that has had a new Strut (Before i bought car) from floor to arch its 79cm on side with old strut it is 84cm.

What/is the process to level please

Thanks

Hi Mike,

You’ll need a diagnostic tool to adjust the ride height / calibrate it to stock settings etc. There may be others with this capability but one such is the GAP IID which is widely used by members here and can be bought second hand for around £250 upwards (a transfer charge will be needed as they are VIN locked to the vehicle, about £40 from memory). There may well be others with the ability to calibrate the suspension.

Obviously if the car has only had one side changed it may lead to slight difference in feel, depends on the condition of the other one I guess.

Others may have more valid pearls of wisdom than me but hope this helps a little.

Jon

In fact there is a discussion on the very topic of diagnostic tools here:
