United Kingdom 2018 Range Rover Autobiography 5.0 SC V8 Corris Grey
no internet or phone connection

2018 model L405 5.0SC. I have now owned the vehicle for a month and still getting to grips with all the features.

Although I do not use Apple Carplay I do occasionally use WAZE so thought I would try plugging iPhone into socket under armrest and initiating carplay. Vehicle tells me to plug in a phone! The phone does not charge when plugged in which I would expect.

Additionally it will not find my home wi-fi even though there is a signal on the drive.

I could not get internet access and was advised by dealership to buy a new data only SIM. I have installed a 3 network data only SIM but on the connectivity screen it just says 'reading SIM' and never gets beyond that.

I was at the main dealer yesterday to have a softclose replaced under Approved Warranty and asked them to look at it at the same time. They confirmed the phone connection was not working but were unable to investigate further without booking it in.

I am assuming that as various elements of connectivity are affected I have probably got a defective module of some sort.

Can anyone shed any light so I can go back to the dealership armed with some knowledge/answers.

Thanks L405 2018 5.0 S/C
