Browsing the classifieds as I’m sure we all do and noticed that the SV premium over the ABs isn’t a lot. Since I’m a PHEV fan you’re not getting any power hikes and looking at the specs it’s tough to see any real difference other than the ceramic bits. Other than knowing you have the pinnacle for pub bragging rights, is there anything tangibly better to justify the roughly 10% price difference? 2018 P400e AB LWB

Buying used I’d say 10% is fair. It’ll have pretty much all options and certainly the best interior, plus the dealer will treat you extra nice for the duration of your ownership. They’re a fickle lot. I remember years ago being faced with a frazzled hot mess of a service manager who asked me “oh, what is it, an X-Type, S-Type…” and I said “XJR” and he melted into an “oh, sir! Sorry sir” sycophantic blob, putty in my demanding hands. The mechanics will care more too. Even with my optioned AB I detect a mild halo effect. The SV has some potential weird interior parts depending on what was ordered when built so without knowing the exact spec only you can make the decision

I take it you have a AB option to look at with the same 510e drivetrain?

The SV I’m looking at is a standard grey colour and doesn’t appear to have any obvious additional bells and whistles (minus the white ceramic bits and the front grill). It’s a shame that the original owner didn’t take advantage of the all the unusual or bespoke options to make something really unique. The 10% uplift over the equivalent AB isn’t really a deal breaker but you want to see something for your money. 2018 P400e AB LWB

I was simply asking what tangible differences there were between an SV and an AB since they're close in price on the used market so might be tempting. Resounding response from the forum was next to nothing. On that basis I'd go AB 2018 P400e AB LWB

It's rather pointless to ask it here IMHO. Original SV buyers are not people who hang on internet forums.
