It's the reservoir on the passenger side about half-way back of the engine compartment. Yellow lid.

It takes Cold Climate Power Steering fluid do not use anything else, unless it's compatible.

You've clearly got a leak somewhere for the fluid to be leaking out of, so I imagine some new pipes will be required...

From memory there is something to do with the ACE which gets changed at service every now and then? Reservoir from my recollection. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

Prime spots for leaking pipes are in front of the nearside front and/or back wheels, the oil can leak onto the plastic guards and remain unnoticed for sometime....

It's the 5Y service on MY18 and the reservoir is changed as it has an internal filter p/n LR072550 about £90 on fleeBay 204-06 The reservoir contains the main filter for the system which acts on the fluid returning from the valve block; a coarse nylon-mesh filter removes particulate matter from the fluid before it is drawn into the pump. The filter/reservoir assembly must be changed at the intervals defined on the vehicle service schedule and if a system hydraulic component is replaced. 2018 SE SDV8 4.4 Byron Blue |
