Brief squeak after shallow puddles

Hi all,

2011 4.4TDV8, after driving through shallow puddles on the road sometimes I have a speak from the engine for a split second and it then goes away. I know it is likely to be the belt, I am also surprised that water is managing to get on the belt from such small puddles.

The strange bit is that for that split second when the squeak happens, I swear it feels like the car loses power! It makes no sense to me, can anyone shed some light? Hoping to find some deep water to drive through after all this rain to see if it still happens!

Once I am done welding up my RR Classic and have room in the unit I am going to check the belt tensioner etc. Never boring with a range rover!

Are your engine undertray panels in place? 2012 TDV8 Vogue (L322)

I agree with Jatgee. Are undertrays all in place and secure

Sorry for the slow reply, yes they were the last time I was under there. I'll crawl under when I have a chance and check.

Do you think I should check the tensioner as well?
