I replaced all 4 flexi hoses when I did my brake service earlier this year. I think they should be changed after 6 years on the schedule, due to the lifespan of the rubber.

I don’t think there is a definitive time period to replace the hoses under the service schedule but they are included for inspection for signs of ageing at 6 years and replace if necessary. For the cost and safety critical nature of this component I take it as replace every 6 years regardless of condition - similar to tyre rubber ageing regardless of miles driven. |

Yeah I seem to remember it was an optional (dependant on condition/customer) on one of the services, if that was yr 6 then I am definitely replacing these even if they look fine. Corrosion is one thing, but the rubber may be beyond its useful point by now and no second chances with a 2.4 tonne vehicle with no brakes.
