Leather paint - which is best?

I’ve got a ‘16 car with Ivory leather than needs the drivers seat base bolster improving.
Two paints seem to come up as options ….. which have you used and which is best?
Furniture Clinic
Or
Scratch Doctor

Thanks

My vote is for

https://www.furnitureclinic.co.uk/colour-c...lour-chart

Give the area a very good scrub to clean it then

Adhesion promoter, colour coat with crosslinker added then top coat in satin with crosslinker...

https://www.furnitureclinic.co.uk/professi...e-products

Used loads of times, works well and lasts a decent length of time...

IMHO An airbrush is the best thing to apply it...... Thumbs Up Pete

I used Scratch Doctor and the result was amazing , even applied with a clean cloth.
Choice is yours I suppose.

I’ve just used a kit from this mob to change some head rest covers from red to black : https://clydesleathercompany.com/en-gb

The spray gun was a right pain in the rear though, uses cans on compressed air to drag the paint out the cup, if the nozzles aren’t perfectly aligned it just doesn’t work. Took me a frustratingly long time to get this right .

No doubt this probably requires some re-colour. BUT, have you cleaned it?

When I got mine (used) with Ivory, the same bolster was brown and looked like there was no paint left. In reality, 90% of it was just dirt.

A good leather cleaner, a leather brush and some microfibres later it looked so good I didn't bother going down the colour route. It isn't perfect granted, but you might be surprised.

(As a side note I have some wear on drivers door grab, I chose Scratch Dr for this as it is an all in one product but I haven't used it yet!)
