c1130-66 fault code

Evening everybody,
can i pick your brains with regard to the fault code i now have, previously a fault code showing front nearside hight sensor popped up and was replaced and fault cleared then about a week later the car was down on the rear offside it lifted nicely when started, the car has covered nearly 90k so both rear bags were replaced about 100 miles later yellow warning suspension fault appeared and showed c1130-66 the car initially will sink nearside rear (we have had it on a ramp for a leak test on that side ) after a day or so the rest of the car catches up and would look to anyone else it was in access mode, the compressor is also hot as the code say too many events etc, weird thing is having driven 10 miles back from the garage parked in its usual spot two days ago it has remained the correct height and level!
so could it be a faulty valve block? at £236 from Rimmer Brothers i would like to know i was at least in the right direction.
thank you in advance for any replies, i know these are complex cars but as finding the bonnet catch is a challenge can you keep them as simple as possible Cool
many thanks, Alfie boy.

If you have a look on the old interweb, there are overhaul kits with all the 'O' rings etc for the L322 suspension valve blocks, a lot cheaper than buying a new valve unit, hope this helps Thumbs Up

Not sure about the fault code, if the compressor is getting hot it is either running too long, possible due to a leak, or the compressor needs an overhaul, new piston ring etc.

Just to say I got the exact same error today - currently trying to figure out what it is rather then playing the game of throwing parts at it!

If I find anything I'll let you know.

hi fredd589,
my understanding of error code "c1130-66 signal has too many transitions/events" is the system having to cut in more (run the compressor) to keep everything as it should be so basically like me you have an air leak in the system somewhere and it looks like if you keep driving with that fault the compressor will over heat and shut itself down.

Thanks Alfie - that makes sense as my compressor gets very hot - I’ve gone round all the air bags tonight with some soapy water in off road mode and nothing obvious bubbled up. Although it did take a very long time 2min+ to get into off road mode and for the yellow up arrow to disappear.

does the car lose height once raised? if not you may be looking at the compressor rather than a leak
an overhaul kit is about £30 from Rimmer bros.

Did you have any luck with your Alfie? I swapped out the drier unit on my compressor but I’m still getting the error. I noticed today that when driving, both front corner valves open to 100% for 15-30 seconds every couple of minutes - after it did this for an extended time I got the error. Attached is how it looked when open - I’m wondering if swapping out both front air bags is the next best step - appreciate any input!

i had my front left air bag go down.
by the time i had got home, it was normal height
left it parked for two days, it was still up
i drove it for a couple of days and then it went down
advice on the forum said its the air bag
i could not hear any air leaking
pulled the valve to pieces, it looked ok but it was not supplying air to the bag
i connected the shed compressor to the bag and as the forum said, it was the air bag
replaced the bag, put it all back together, had to play with the Hight controls and up it went RR 2005 4.4 petrol

Quick update - my off side front airbag eventually gave in and must of made a bigger hole in the bag, as I heard it one morning leaking air.

New strut fitted today and no more hissing - seems to be better!
