I think the radio module has a fuse of its own, on the unit itself. I could be mistaken but perhaps worth checking ... Also, provided you've sorted the issue, I would avoid replacing the stock head unit as you'll lose trip computer, slave clock etc. Instead of fitting an android I would try a solution that plugs in lieu of the CD changer and / or fitted a BT module. There are several other upgrades for the radio, TV tuner and Navi modules, the latter being likely the cheapest. A MKIV unit will cost you less than £200 and a 2019 map DVD another £15. The DSP (or any of the units) will only appear in white on the screen if they identify themselves on the iBus. It’s not a fibre system on the early BMW based cars. There is a specific wire for the iBus. Can’t help much further I’m afraid.

Thanks guys iv tried all the usual suspects I know the dsp amp.is not identifying its self on the system hence no sound. No Bluetooth module fitted.
