No sound no dsp

I had sound when I parked it up at my mates where I keep it but after picking it up to use iv got no sound.
No it's not water ingress iv had all the units out at the back stripped them all down 1 at a time and checked their all good inside.
Iv spent a good few hours reading old posts and iv noticed the dsp is not comming up on the head unit not in white.....it would work I'm sure if the system could see its there. Not even in dark grey.....nothing.

Iv checked every wire done a battery dissconnect, charged the battery over night.....soooo ????

Mite dig out my gap tool but that's in the sport at my mates to see what's going on but before I do any ideas from the ice gurus on here.

I will proberly go android over Xmas with the dsp bypass lead but for now a mystery to solve.

I think the radio module has a fuse of its own, on the unit itself. I could be mistaken but perhaps worth checking ... Also, provided you've sorted the issue, I would avoid replacing the stock head unit as you'll lose trip computer, slave clock etc. Instead of fitting an android I would try a solution that plugs in lieu of the CD changer and / or fitted a BT module. There are several other upgrades for the radio, TV tuner and Navi modules, the latter being likely the cheapest. A MKIV unit will cost you less than £200 and a 2019 map DVD another £15. Just throwing ideas Thumbs Up

The DSP (or any of the units) will only appear in white on the screen if they identify themselves on the iBus. It’s not a fibre system on the early BMW based cars. There is a specific wire for the iBus. Can’t help much further I’m afraid.

I put a MK4 nav in my TD6 when I had it. Not a bad upgrade. You can also add a BMW ULF module to get Bluetooth.

Thanks guys iv tried all the usual suspects I know the dsp amp.is not identifying its self on the system hence no sound. No Bluetooth module fitted.

I'm going to pull out an old parrot kit that's dead not sure that would cause the issue as it muted the sound then worked via a separate speaker for calls.

Iv found an old post on landy zone where someone lost dsp on the menu same as me after having lpg fitted I'm assuming the battery was disconnected for the installation when reconnected no dsp on the menu.
A simple full reset connecting positive and neg terminal together restored dsp to menu and fixed the issue.

I keep the car at my mates so will try at the week end and report back 👍
