Was messing with my car and I noticed that the PAS Fluid was low what do I top it up with nowadays, the book says Texaco Cold Climate PAS Fluid 33270 but I’m not sure that available any more is there an equivalent what do others use? Geoff |

The 405 has electric power steering, thus no fluid reservoir

Probably the book calls it Dynamic Response fluid Geoff |

That reservoir is for the dynamic response active cornering system which contains a hydraulic pump, valveblock, anti-roll bars ... and pipework.

Thanks mate for the very comprehensive response. I'll top up first as you suggest and go from there with my fingers crossed. I only noticed it when I was under the bonnet for something else, its lower than minimum. For a top up I imagine 1L will do? Geoff |

Yes. The reservoir holds about 300 ml. The entire system holds about 3 l. |

I'm sure it's 2l. that is what I bought from the LR dealership (on their advice) to do a reservoir/filter replacement and oil change and I used just under the 2l. Often overlooked because it can get a bit messy the reservoirs that contain the filter (from 2015 I think) are supposed to be changed every 5 years or 60,000 miles according to the service manager at the local stealership. |
