Is there a year when LR fixed the chain guide issues on the 5.0 SC please?

Contemplating my next move if I have to go petrol….

I've heard of failures of 15/16MY SVR's...

Can't comment if it's servicing (or lack of) that's been the issue with them...

Ok, thanks. Just wondered if I had to still bear it in mind on later L405 and L494. I understand it’s expensive to sort if you don’t do it yourself.

Hardly doing any miles now. Might be a next option.

My understanding was that the spec of the guides were changed in the 5.0 at around the time the L405 came out and the problem largely went away. Still a moving part so there will always be failures at some stage...but no longer "common". Mike - MPx
