So looking at the logistics of doing the ACE pipework. Haylands took the full subframe off ( here ) whilst in this video, the subframe was partly lowered and hanging from the unwound bolts.

I would think there is enough room for the prop to drop some amount, if it's enough to change the pipes, that's a suck it and see job... Pete

If you can't remove it from the rear diff, remove it from the transfer box end and drop the shaft with the subframe/diff assy |

If it isn't then take out the nearside bolts and drop it on a jack a bit more that side, just be careful and don't catch anything... Pete

Just to feed back, this worked and worked very well. New rear ace pipes installed and rear coolant cross over coolant metal pipes now replaced with a single run of hose.

Did my rear ACE pipes With the fuel tank in position and by only dropping the rear subframe a couple of inches, leaving it hanging on a few threads like you did. I did this with the car on a ramp though!
