So looking at the logistics of doing the ACE pipework. Haylands took the full subframe off ( here ) whilst in this video, the subframe was partly lowered and hanging from the unwound bolts.

I would think there is enough room for the prop to drop some amount, if it's enough to change the pipes, that's a suck it and see job... |

If you can't remove it from the rear diff, remove it from the transfer box end and drop the shaft with the subframe/diff assy |

If it isn't then take out the nearside bolts and drop it on a jack a bit more that side, just be careful and don't catch anything... |

Just to feed back, this worked and worked very well. New rear ace pipes installed and rear coolant cross over coolant metal pipes now replaced with a single run of hose.

Did my rear ACE pipes With the fuel tank in position and by only dropping the rear subframe a couple of inches, leaving it hanging on a few threads like you did. I did this with the car on a ramp though!
