4.4TDV8 Donut hoses 2011

Hi all you knowledgeable people.

I am going to replace the four donut hoses with silicon pipe. I'm aware there is a lot of information already posted but I am trying to find out if I actually need to fully remove the donut to remove the four pipes? Can I slide the old hoses off with the donut still in tact?

Also, can anyomne advise how to cut the new silicon pipe? I was going to use a hack saw but feel that may be a bit rough. Should I use a craft or stanley knife? As always, any help is truly appreciated. This is a fantastic site and has proven an incredible guide thgrough my L322 journey.

Donut has to come off from what I remember. Put a hose clip round the new pipe and cut to the edge of it with a sharp knife to keep it square.
Thumbs Up
