Front drivers side gaiter

Afternoon all, my 2011 front drivers side drive shaft gaiter has split at the
Wheel end, no matter what I try I can’t shift the shaft out the hub
Wheel, disc, caliper all removed loosened the strut bolts and steering ball joint but the shaft won’t move

Am I missing something or do I need a bigger hammer? 😆

Might be of help if anyone else has the same issue -

Ended up removing the shaft and hub as one then knocked the CV and hub off the end of the shaft 1972 Series 3 full of character

I presume you mean the CV joint rubber boot? One can buy replacement boots that can be fitted without dismantling. The boot joins up and is glued after fitting.
