2007MY L322 Air Suspension Vehicle Lifting Slowly

Hi All,

New member of the forum here so apologies if this is in the wrong place or an existing post (I have checked extensively and couldn't find a similar issue).

I recently had 'suspension fault' appear every time I started the car and the lights on the height selector went out. I knew it was likely the compressor as I had an air spring which had a leak which put additional strain on the compressor. Air spring was replaced by specialist and I recently replaced the compressor myself. The car raises fine and reaches mid and top heights however it still says vehicle lifting slowly when trying to get to the top height. Its as if it hasn't registered that it is at the top height. Interestingly if I start the car quickly, i.e. rotate the key fast, there is no issue, but if I pause for a few seconds with the ignition on, the car has a hard fault and the lights on the height indicator go out.

Could this be a battery issue? I have used an icarsoft code reader and had the code saying pressure sensor reading intermittent, cleared code, restarted, had the same fault and the code then read pressure not venting from the gallery. I doubt this is true as if I start the car quickly it is absolutely fine, however still 'struggles' to reach the top height.

I checked the reservoir and the tank does look quite rusty, could it be a leak from this as the pressure mounts? Or does it need a new battery.

Any help would be much appreciated and hope you are enjoying range rover ownership as much as I am, what a car!
