United Kingdom 2016 Range Rover Autobiography SDV8 Mariana Black

All,

In my 2016 AB I have the "Ski Hatch" (I think thats what they call it)

There is a button at the top right of 'centre' seat or armrest that allows the back of the seat to fold down. I use it to slide my guns through when shooting.

I think thats what Andy means.

....and yes Andy it is quite hard although I have had three adults in the back, all with independant full seat belts and no complaints on the comfort level. Ash

The 2018+ with executive rear seats has a ski hatch and I found the centre seat more comfortable than the standard rear seats which was a big surprise. It was important as I wanted to to carry 3 in the back fairly regularly. Maybe it was just because I really wanted to get an AB, so I convinced myself it was better for the kids! so basically I need an autobiography with the ski hatch & the centre seat is ok to sit on for long journeys eg trips to France from Yorks etc..... is exec seating pretty common on the AB?

Hi Andy,

I'll need someone to chip in here but I thought the executive rear seating is the one with the long centre consule (has a big cubby box in it) which essentially removes the middle seat - I believe it is a fixed arm rest and does not fold away into the rear seat.

I drove one when I was looking to buy my 405 Ash

The Executive Class rear seats don't have a fixed centre console, it's the one with the powered armrest and is fitted to most ABs.

As for the comfort on long journeys, it really depends on the size of the passengers, car seats or not etc. The only way to know is to take everyone when you go and look to try it out for size! MY23 Panamera E-Hybrid

So what are these described as? Every time I see these advertised they get described as “executive rear seat option”

Confused Question

It is quite confusing! They are Executive rear seats in a pre facelift LWB.

In post 2018 cars, the ones that fold with the powered centre console are Executive Class seats and there are a couple of upgrades, Executive Class Comfort seats which have hot stone massage and a bit more adjustability, then Executive Class Comfort Plus which adds a footrest, heated armrest/calf rest etc. The Comfort Plus are std on the SVA AB Dynamic.

Post 2018, the fixed centre console is standard on the SVA AB LWB and not available on any other model. They are called 'Fixed centre console Executive Class Comfort-plus rear seats'!

I think that covers everything.... Shocked Laughing MY23 Panamera E-Hybrid

That clears that up then, thanks Martin.

Strange I had a different idea of what a hot stone massage was:

Maybe I can hire a little helper for the back seat of the L322 for an upgrade?

all very amusing BUT does this mean that if I want to be able to get skis in the car I need a ski hatch as that the only way you can do it? Very Happy
