Restricted performance with cruise control on.

2016 4.4 FFRR

Anyone had this?.......

'Restricted performance' when accelerating up a hill over 50mph with the cruise control on. It never does it with cruise off.

If I stop and start it again, its fine. It throws a code for the MAF, absolute pressure sensors

Its only done it about 3 times in 6 months....... No other symptoms.

Cheers! Thumbs Up

Change the MAP sensor - it's very easy to do!

Yeah, I've had that out to clean it. It was full of gunge!
Any idea why it only does it with cruise control on? Confused

my 4.4 TDV8 (l322) had this - it is to do with the sudden demand for fuel and air to maintain the speed uphill. on mine it was a cracked inlet manifold which led to RP.

Ok, thanks for the reply. I'd heard the later 4.4's didn't suffer with the cracked manifolds, but who knows.
Hopefully if the fault gets more regular, the problem may be more obvious.

you're right they did change the spec for the later models. mine is a 2011. I think the 2012 on got the upgraded manifolds. Certainly the L405's did.

My prob was ongoing for. few months - always at the same part of the M4 as it went uphill and CC was on. small crack spotted in the Pax side inlet manifold. £1600 to replace as the all the injectors need to come out and be replaced as part of the job.
