Heated windscreen fault

Does anyone know what the heated windscreen wiring colours for a 2015 3.0 are?

The screen in my car isn't working, the fuse and relay appear to be OK.

I removed the A pillar trims and found the sceen ribbons connected but also a couple of heavier wires that aren't:
N/S - white/blue connected, violet/brown disconnected.
O/S - black connected, yellow/white disconnected.

The connected white/blue and black wires do nothing that I can find.
The violet/brown and yellow/white both go to 14V (engine running) when the heated screen button is pressed.

I've had the car since April and I'm not aware of the screen being replaced, no tell tales that I can see with a quick glance. The heavier gauge, and that it's a 40A circuit suggest to me the wires should be the other way around, but then what do the white/blue and black wires do?

Any help appreciated!

the smaller plug is for the element that warms up the wipers..unless you have this feature then there will be no power from this plug..

the larger plug is for the windscreen heating elements.. ... - .- -.

Thanks for that Stan, and for the link to the workshop manual! Smile The heavier cables are indeed for the heater elements and the others for wipers (not on mine).

I have checked mine also. My nearside does not work. The violet cable is connected to the windscreen ribbon and the blue one is disconnected.

I checked the voltage and cn't get a sensible reading from either. As there is only a single relay, I assume the windscreen or the cabling from the relay to the windscreen is damaged. 2014 5.0 Supercharged Autobiography & 2015 3.0SDV6 HSE Lux Discovery 4
