SVA Satin Paint finish

I’m looking at a 5.0 SVA which has a satin paint finish. Its a stunning looking car, 21 plate so a late model and fully loaded. My only concern is that paint finish; I take my cars off road when I go shooting and would also be using narrow lanes, so get regular brushing contact with hedgerows. Easy enough to polish out light scratches on the current car, but would that be the same for a satin finish? Apparently, it was a £10k option Shocked

I’d be grateful to hear from anyone who has a car with that paint finish.

Thanks

Andy

Just a thought, for you to consider
Would a bottom half clear /transparent wrap work ?

Good idea for the clear wrap as an option - might work.

For what its worth in my search for a L405 I did look at a SVA with the satin paint. Agree they do look stunning but the one I looked at did have a lot of scratches on it from probably bushes or something. Dealer was honest in saying its near impossible to correct short of a respray and I did some checking around with detailer's etc and the general rule was there was nothing they could do.

My conclusion was as good as it looks if you go off road or down any small lanes with stuff that may rub down your paintwork then the satin option is best avoided. ----------- Current Garage --------------------

Thanks both. I also checked with a body shop I know and my contact there just said no, not suitable for how I use my cars and he couldn’t correct it.

I’ll pass on that one then.

You would be best getting an Xpel matte wrap or similar to cover it.

But obviously that is an additional expense, shame LR make the paint so soft on these as light scratches can appear just looking at it!
