5hp24 BMW X5

Hello everyone! Smile

I have X5 E53 with M62 4.4. The torque converter on my car went bad and there are a lot of chips in the gearbox.
I have found a recycled gearbox from a 4.6 is.
I understand from internet posts that the boxes are different and so is the diameter of the torque converter. My gearbox is type 029 and on the 4.6 it is 034.
My torque converter has already been sent for refurb and I wanted to ask you if I can fit the 4.6 - 034 box with my torque converter? And if possible which bell should I use? Should I put my bell on the 4.6 box or just use my torque converter in the box with the 4.6 bell?

I apologize once again for the concern. I would appreciate an answer because I am in a quandary Confused

I hope I'm not breaking the forum rules by posting the question about another brand, but the 5hp24 is also fitted to the L322 and I'm sure there are many here familiar with this gearbox.

Greetings!

You might be better posting this question on one of the BMW forums?
