What about running a cable through the hole in the armature (and if relevant part of the trailer) and then securing the ends with a padlock through one of the holes in the hitch plate? Not suitable for when actually towing, so would have to be added whenever stopped in an area thought risky. Only Range Rovers since 1988 |

You need something like this. They are used a lot in Australia where the receiver type towbar is very common.
