Manual Reset of *Service Required* - L322 2010 LCD

Is there a manual way of resetting the *Service Required* message on a 2010 FFRR Vogue
with the digital cluster?

Had it serviced yesterday, not at a dealer as well you might imagine, but they forgot to reset.

Or is this only achievable with a plug in diagnostic unit these days?

Your help appreciated! 2010 FFRR VOGUE TDV8 Stornoway Grey - Current

I was afraid of that. The lack of anything on YouTube or anywhere else I can search
seemed to indicate it being so...

I was just trying to avoid the need to return to get it reset as I know they have all the
kit being the LR specialists they are.

If anyone else knows different, let me know.

Thanks Stan. 2010 FFRR VOGUE TDV8 Stornoway Grey - Current

From one of the L322 (4.4 TDV8) groups on the book of faces this morning:

Update on removing” service required “ on 2011 TDV8...... You don’t need an IID tool.

Open drivers door and bonnet, put ignition on, don’t start car, push both pedals to the floor for 1 minute, turn ignition off, close bonnet and door, start car.

Not sure if this is a wind-up or not, so anyone who doesn't have an IID tool might want to give it a try and report back. The older I get, the more I realise that people confuse wrinkles for wisdom Smile

Holy thread resurrection Batman! Laughing Whistle Bow down

Yes you are correct sir! It has come to my attention in the last 5 or 6yrs that there is a back door, into Range Rover service light reset…

So, bonnet up, drivers door open, ign on but don’t start engine! Then two feet hard down on the peddles and voila! You should get a message “service reset in progress” then 10 secs later “service reset complete”… I think I would do it twice to be sure…

Thumbs Up Good luck 🤞

Worth a try and then check on the IID if oil dilution is reset to 0. That's the acid test I'd suggest.... Gone to a good home: 2011 4.4 TDV8 Vogue SE Buckingham Blue with Ivory and clear glass = "Rory"
