I had a fault appear on the dash last week. Adaptive Dynamics fault. I didn’t check it with the GAP tool straight away as I had parked the car up and wasn’t using it for a few days as the rear discs and pads needed replacing.

So yesterday after replacing the rear discs and pads, I then got two faults on the dash.

Adaptive Dynamics Fault
Suspension Fault.

A quick check with the GAP tool revealed the rear ride height sensor to be at fault for both. Digging a bit further there is no voltage showing at that sensor. The 4x4 info display also shows the rear right sensor misaligned.

Today however the ‘suspension fault’ message disappeared and the sensor on the display is lined up once more. I still have the adaptive dynamics fault though.

Could be the connector but I had a front height sensor that threw some occasional faults and then failed completely so best to replace. I now keep a spare front and rear sensor in the car as a failed sensor will drop the car to the bump stops and leave you stranded. 2012 TDV8 Vogue (L322)
