Td6 cutting out

Ive been having a bit of a problem with my 2005 facelift td6 for a few months now, parts have been changed but it still intermittently plays up, I've had a new fuel pump, fuel filter and sensor that fits on top of fuel filter fit,as air was getting into fuel system, (you could see air bubbles in clear pipe going into engine). Ecu was showing up loss of fuel pressure, all been fine for about month or so then on Saturday driving at a steady pace up a small hill and everything just cut out! No spluttering or anything it just died, had it on machine again and nothing showing, anybody got any ideas?

Many thanks

Ben

Might be wrong but i think diesel's have 2 fuel pumps. A low pressure and a high pressure. Think the one in the boot is the low and then somewhere else is the HP for supplying the cyclinders. that might be the one causing the problems? [img]http://www.fuelly.com/driver/rob2529/range-rover[img/]

Just a thought, as a faulty low pressure pump would likely show up if the fuel level was quite low. One pump moves the fuel from the tank to the engine area. The other pump squirts the fuel into the engine.

Old Discoveries used to have a very noisy mechanical lift pump. I spent many years listening to that racket Laughing No longer FF owner but still interested. Present car Jaguar XE

The other fuel pump is in the fuel tank.

Fuel cooler is on near side in engine bay next to the filter. Remove the trunking and you will see what looks like a small radiator, clean out any debris that has accumulated with a vacuum cleaner and small brush
