United Kingdom 2018 Range Rover Autobiography SDV8 Montalcino Red
565mm x 184mm rear number plate

Evening all,

I haven’t collected my 2018 L405 yet, so am unable to measure for myself. Would this plate size fit the L405? I quite like the idea of filling the available space.

My car's regular plates were standard size, which I didn't think looked right on the rear.

I have an oversize, 533x152 on the rear (same size as was fitted on the L322 Range Rover and is the "official" Land Rover size plate) and it fits the space nicely (photo below).

565x184 will fit, although height wise, it will be close to the limit. 2015 Range Rover Autobiography 4.4 SDV8

I've just bought a replacement rear plate from my dealer (to replace a shabby looking one, not to change the size) and in old money it's 21" x 6", the same as originally fitted by the supplying dealer. 2017 SDV8 Autobiography

Sorry, Craig. Do you mean 565 x 184 or the same as Gary’s? 2018 L405 4.4 SDV8 Autobiography

I think the L322 size is what’s on the car currently. 2018 L405 4.4 SDV8 Autobiography

In my photo is L322 size (from my L322, as I have a private plate). The size is 533mmx152mm, so if your plate doesn't look like this, it's not the L322 size plate. 2015 Range Rover Autobiography 4.4 SDV8

Fair enough Stan! I thought it was a bit of a nod to the old RRS shape. I think I’d like something between that and the standard 21 x 6”. 2018 L405 4.4 SDV8 Autobiography

@Stan: Censored

Wink

Lol! I actually HAD one of those! (but the saloon -remember them?) in the dark metallic blue, dead posh it was with beige velour seats.

What a cheek! This was a JLR Main Dealership fit, so must therefore be the correct plate type for the marque, and you lot have ALL got the wrong plate fitted, so will have to run out and get that sorted, so there! I believe this plate is a JLR plate, but the one from the Sport / S Type:
