Rear windows "vent mode"?

Does anyone have this on their car? Where you go to put the rear windows down on the one touch and it only drops like 100mm?

Ive heard some cars have it and some don't. Anyone know?

Only one side seems to do it on mine, Cant see anything in the ccf to turn it on or off so maybe its part of the regulator and one of mine have been changed. Just annoying

Have you set your windows? There must be a procedure in the wiki above... Set both of the rears, then see if they both work on vent Thumbs Up

Yeah tried a few times to set them. Both on the switches and with the iid. Still the same. Only the drivers side rear does it

Both my rears do this with the first push of their respective buttons (2012 Westie). First time it happened, I thought it was a fault, as my previous 3.6 didn't do this. Now, I think it's great - especially when leaving a pooch in the car. The older I get, the more I realise that people confuse wrinkles for wisdom Smile

I’ve no idea what mine do then, given the above replies. 🤣 Must remember to check.

Was gonna suggest running some furniture polish along the upright channels in case it’s getting a bit stuck there….

Same here as yours JMC, first press on both rears and they go down to vent, then second press all the way down, and it does it regardless of how rear locking is set. 2012 Westminster TDV8 4.4 Indus Silver

Like JMC and RichTD6 I have a 2012 Westminster and mine is exactly the same - first 'full' press (as you would to put it all the way down automatically) gets the 'vent' position, second press sends it all the way to the bottom. Same on both sides.

So it seems either a 2012 and/or Westminster thing at the moment.

I didn't know it did this until I read this post, and it's not mentioned in the manual, but I quite like it. It'll be especially useful come the Summer. Very Happy 2012 TDV8 Westminster in the New Forest

i checked mine - i have that in my 2010. If you have not calibrated window, then vent mode can be inactive.

Confirmed that the correct window regulator is fitted. Not an older style one. So no idea now.
