Hi all, I have an iCarSoft V3 scanner which I use to read fault codes in my RR. This is great but sometimes the descriptions of the fault code can be a little short or unclear. What are people using to get more expanded info on error codes? Basically how can you work out which fault code is the actually cause of an error and which fault codes are related to an error but are not really faults? Do I need to have a Topix subscription to do this? Can you enter a fault code in Topix and will it give you more information such as what the next diagnostic steps should be or which parts are likely need to be replaced? Or is it simply just a case of Googling the codes?

I am thinking i need to put a day aside and do this with Topix. Do you know if the fault code lookup provides additional steps to try to help identify exactly where a fault is, a bi like a check sheet? I have seen something similar online but I think this related to JLR SDD software. Would Topix have the same

If you download the WSM from the wiki and look in the General Information section and then Diagnostic Trouble Codes, they are all listed.
