If this is some sort of warranty thing I bet it doesn’t apply to 10 year old vehicles - like mine Geoff |

The front offside bracket for my deployable steps has broken is this available as a part or will I have to fit new steps. Obviously if anyone has one for sale I would be interested. Geoff |

Thanks Craig - it would appear not - just had car into Indy and I specifically asked them to check the knuckles for cracks (it was in for its MOT) and that front bracket, they gave it a clean bill of health on both counts and attended to both the side steps and the deployable towbar and got them both working perfectly. They still took 800 quid off me but there was a big sevice as well. Geoff |

A full electric, folding, super duper treadmill, took three of us to lift the box from the wagon into the garage, then this muppet had to assemble it

Reviving this old thead in case it helps someone. I have read lots from people who have had different issues with the steps being stuck. In my case, this was exactly as luxmoggy describes: the step is stuck in the out posistion, and when I open the door it jumps. When I close the door it doesn't jump. No amount of pushing the step did anything. On the main screen, it intermittently showed a message saying that there was an obstruction detected. This was the fix - Clean, lubricate and reset the side steps: Pressure washed and dried the mechanism. Used wd-40 and then copper grease anti-seize spray on the hinges. To reset the steps, open the drivers door and wait for all illumination on the srcreen or dash to power-down. Remove the spare wheel to reveal the battery. Remove the negative terminal and wait 10 mins. Reconnect the terminal, and start the car. Leave a few mins and then operate the door. This worked for me - hope this helps. |
