I bricked my car....2020 L405

So I have the Bosch Doip Tool. I have a 2020 l405 Petrol P525 HSE.

I understand ccf programming and updates. I was updating my BCM, ABS, and ICCM modules and then I went to update the instrument cluster from a normal range rover to the SV Autobiography graphics. Pathfinder wouldnt or couldnt push the changes. I ran Topix Cloud and the during the "Postdowload validation.vbf" topix Cloud Froze. It froze and wasnt doing anything for 30 minutes so I unplugged it and the now the vehicle wont wake up no matter how many times I push the power button, I uplugged the battery terminals. I rub the terminals together, I replaced the battery with a new battery, and still the car wont wake up.

Im asking for a response and help from anyone who knows what is the first module I can replace to get the car to wake up? I plug in my regular code reader, my dealership Bosch tool and the tools cant find the car, like the OBD port is fried, which I checked the fuse and its fine.

Does anyone know should I just start with the ECM and BCM and Gateway modules and replace them and see if that does it?

Yes the car is under warranty. The dealership is actually moving forward with some fixes modulesand No JLR corporate isnt helping

Does anyone have any smart advice? I respect and appreciate everyone on these forums. I'm hopeful someone knows how the canbus network works and what is the wake up routine for the daisy chain effect on the modules for this vehicle.

The door lock/unlock buttons work and can lock and unlock the car but thats it. The dashboard will not light up with the power button, or when I hit the unlock button on the fob.

Please help. Bow down Yes I'm an idiot. Yes, I learned my lesson. And yes Dealership department are rocknstar

Steve

PS When I was doing the update, I had a powerful battery tender hooked up with 14.0 volts and my laptop had a wired internet connection and the bosch tool was hard wired plugged into the obd port, not on wifi.

Have you tried restarting the instrument cluster update?

Was everything OK after updating the 1st 3 modules? If so then that would suggest that the instrument cluster may need reloading, not just reloading parts of it.

Everything was fine with downloading new firmware for all 3 modules.

The problem is the obd port won’t communicate with any obd tool. The port/gateway is non communicative.

So again the car won’t do anything until I start replacing modules.

I can’t connect anything to the vehicle and get it to communicate to try another update.

I need hardware solutions only please.

Thank you.

I would disconnect the instrument cluster then see if any module can communicate. In various earlier vehicles the instrument cluster is connected to both the HS and MS canbus so could conceivably lock out both.

The gateway will be stuck in bootloader mode, don't worry about the IPK until you get the gateway to communicate. Worst case is a new gateway module.

Sounds cheaper than a new IPK!

My dealer is a god send and very helpful. They are following procedures that you guys suggested, so thank you so much.

I don’t have the vehicle yet but I’m hopeful soon. I’ll keep you posted.
