re learning boot position?

I'm sure this has been mentioned before but I couldn't find with a search, but my car (2018MY) went in to the dealers for an internet module, I'm assuming that the battery was disconnected, and now the boot wont fully open on the press of the boot release button on the fob, and it doesnt think its closed when it is (and then doesnt lock).

I have to manually close it for it to know it has shut then I can lock it.

How do I get it to re learn its position(s)? First time FFRR owner

Usually, after a battery disconnect, you open the upper and lower tailgate, close them both manually, then it starts working again

There is a calibration routine for the tailgate on the early cars, but ive only ever had to do it once

I have tried manually shutting the tailgate and that doesnt reset, I have gone through the reset procedure from the manual and that doesn't work. If I press the release button on the top half, it opens fully and closes fully but not if I use the button on the fob.
I tried manually opening it and having a long press on the top tailgate close button and after 4 seconds I get a long beep but it then still doesnt work on the fob button.

Any ideas?? First time FFRR owner

they were both working fine before it went into the dealers Stan. Ive dropped the dealer a message re the tailgate but also the Internet module still isnt recognising a SIM card although it now can access the internet if I tether it to my phone and it doesn't show live traffic updates First time FFRR owner

I had 5 minutes to look at this yesterday waiting for Mrs S, it appears that the issue may be with the lower tailgate, it doesn't seem to be closing properly. pressing the button on the lower TG, it closes, doesnt seem to soft close at the end of the travel, and sometimes I get a double beep to indicate it isnt properly shut. Looks like it is going to have to go back to the dealers to sort. First time FFRR owner

after a busy week in the car, 600 miles, lots of boot openings/closings, many different permutations of opening closing saw no improvement in the situation til I got home of Friday, nipped to Sainsbury's and it now works on the button as if nothing has happened. This is why we love our cars. First time FFRR owner
