Sorry Gaz, should've remembered because it was such a good write up. I actually thought about buying a set on your recomendation but then found I still have penty of tread on my current set. I will try them when I next need to change though. |

Fingers crossed this will happen as buying now is going to be a good way to have a zero cost of motoring if you sell at the end of february if there is a second snowfall, much like when the mini first came out(BMW version) when people ran them for a year or so and sold them on for no loss or even profit...

No, that's why they are winter tyres, not offroad tyres. And no again AFAIK. No FFRR sized all terrains that are also proper winter tyres that I know of. Different compounds. I'm guessing the softer compound would wear offroad too quickly. But happy to be proved wrong. |

I've got general grabber at2's on my defender and in the snow they were brilliant, never drove on 'proper' snow tyres but I was more than happy with my at2's and they are good in mud too!! |

I picked up a set of 2009 19" wheels with old Scorpion zeros on for £260.00. Just need the 255/55/19 Wintrac 4's now but my chosen supplier has sold out! |

Been looking on here at all the replies and I've been persuader to go for the Vredestein Wintrac 4 Xtreme. BUT looking on a web site http://www.clickontyres.com Ive found 2 tyres that are slightly different in size but a vast difference in price.

bob, if you're going to spend £640 on tyres alone you might have a look at ebay..peeps sell wheels and tyres for much less than that and you might get lucky and get the tread type you want and have a set of spare rims as well.. |
