Seem to have the alarm going off for no reason intermittently, but it's not the full blown alarm just indcators flashing and mid-low siren - any clues on where to start looking/checking?

Bonnet Catch - disconnect and if it stops going off bob's your mothers brother! Geoff

Mine did this the other night in the early hours, reet it and it went off again 20 mins later. Went to put it on the drive and leave un loacked and noticed a Moth, removed Moth and end of problem.

Ok thanks, I take it the switch/sensor is on the landing panel? will have a look today.

Allow me to be the fourth! Have the same problem so I'll try disconnecting the bonnet switch today..

I guess it's the sun hitting the bonnet and causing the metal to expand

Well it's been almost 48 hours and not a peep from the alarm! Use to go off at least once a day so seems fixed. Question is: should I fix the sensor or just leave it unplugged permanently?

Me too. LRA assist advise leave it disconnect - mine's off to the dealer for adjustment or replacement on Wednesday.

And allow me to be the fith! Started going off this morning. Will clean/WD40 the switch and if that doesn't work disconnect it. Wish the stuck CD changer was as simple to fix...

I think I might have this.

Symptoms are:
* Random event
* Car not driven for a few hours
* Beeping begins with hazards flashing (beeping is similar to a lorry reversing)
* Dog goes feckin spastic
* If you don't get to it in time (wake up, wonder wtf, get out of bed, stumble downstairs, blearily find keys), the beeping stops and the hazards continue.
* Stops when you unlock the car on the remote.

Where do I find the bonnet switch?

Surprised you even need to ask really.

Not withstanding the fact I hate having things not working on the car - you would also invalidate the "theft" part of your insurance as you have disabled part of your security system.

Someone could open your bonnet to disable the alarm and then make off with your car. 

The Isle of Man had the best idea, the birch.
Nobody ever went back for a second dose apparently.
EU stopped them using it unfortunately.
