Slow temp rise can be caused by a faulty thermostat that allows coolant to flow through the radiator during warmup. 2012 TDV8 Vogue (L322) |

Agree with JayGee. If the gauge does appear to be working and just seems delayed at warming up, this sounds like the thermostat. 2015 Range Rover Autobiography 4.4 SDV8 |

PITA on the 4.4 as the whole coolant mixing housing has to be removed after taking out the main fan. Not sure on the 3.6? Parts shortages are common so you may not even get that far. Get a proper diagnosis first - could be a faulty temp sender or wiring or airlock in the coolant. 2012 TDV8 Vogue (L322) |

Yes. In live data look for "thermostat seal quality factor [%]". If value shows below 80% then you lost 20% of seal |

Yes. Watch the actual engine coolant temperature and it should go quickly to 89deg and stay there and not drop down when the car is cruising at speed and there is max airflow through the radiator. 2012 TDV8 Vogue (L322) |
