Not sure TBH, it's a known problem and fix, with very similar symptoms...

Just seemed a good starting point...

I think you should get the bushes and ball joints checked with weight on the wheels first though... Thumbs Up Pete

I know I'm sounding like a stuck record Stan but some of your symptoms are uncannily similar to mine. Do you experience any unusual movement if you have to brake hard? When I had my issue, the car would veer quite violently to one side when the weight of the wheel etc transferred within the rear subframe, as the hub bush had all but disintegrated. it was rather scary and made we wonder if one of my front calipers had seized.
My only way to describe it was that the back end felt "loose", mostly when I was changing direction from right to left. Again this was caused by the weight of all the wheel, stubs etc shifting on the subframe. Got - 2017 SDV8 Autobiography in Loire Blue

You also need to do the same thing with the wheel jacked up under the bottom wishbone Stan… With suspension on full droop, on a two poster. You can only check how the bushes move when the suspension is in that orientation… Now imagine it on a four poster with the full length beams that lock and allow the wheels to be removed? If they were under the lower wishbones, you would remove weight from some of your suspension bushes, allowing for travel there to be checked too…

D3&4 were really bad for the rear bushes allowing the rear axle to essentially self steer!

RR should be checked in both droop and compressed to be certain sir… 👍

On a different tangent Stan. We are finding more and more 405’s with burst rear dampers! So one side not doing anything! Masked by the ACE system…

Have you checked yours?

Hi Stan, there is a bug in the IID tool when doing the transfer case calibration. I worked with Pat at GAP to identify a work around for it.

What you need to do is start the engine as soon as it automatically switches off during the process. You'll find that it will then complete the calibration process. Kev
