I thought for the later cars, it’s part of the Workshop Manual, that’s in the Wiki for download.

Ah, see what you mean. I used the old docs and RAVE when I had my TD6.

Pity the details are in a separate doc but I suppose that makes it easier to refer to the diagram and the library at the same time.

Hey, I’m struggling to find how the front electric fan is wired up in my 2007 tdv8 3.6. None. Of the electric guides match up with the details at all. I have the engine wiring and it just shows and ecm pin out to ‘control unit - cooling fan’ and from there is a mystery! Any insights please? Error fault code on this |

Have a look on 'engine cooling' rather than 'electronic engine controls'. |

that is indeed what I have been looking for. All the info I can find is on the viscous fan. Nothing about the mysterious box called ‘control unit - cooling fan’ (D241) on contact C0005-4. This is clearly just a control signal wire. But details about the front cooling fan are almost non existent? I am dyslexic, so please bear this in mind. It clearly is getting in the way of finding hard to find info |

Thanks. How did you find this? Was there a direct link in the wiki? Why isn’t it clearly laid out to find? Everything is only organised once you know where to look. Electric diagrams should be under electric diagrams. |

How can I find all the diagrams for this period in one place? It’s not logical where to look and I’m having to rely on others to show me. |

Sorry another question? How do you find soldered joints? None have gone so far as I can tell, but are they randomly located? Or is there a guide for this? |

I downloaded all the relevant diagrams for my L322 from Topix whilst I still had unfettered access, you can buy access for a day for a single Model / VIN for a relatively small cost and you're free to download as much or as little as you want within the time period you've paid for.
Usually they need to be exposed 'manually' or can sometimes be 'seen' using specialist kit like a Time Domain Reflectometer, or an Infra-Red camera. In reality, there are few problems with SJ's, the ones that are problematic tend to be well-known within the workshops and located with the minimum of fuss & time once confirmed through tests. ETA - an example of SJ locations, from the 'battery mounting and cables' diagram - a much underused but very useful sheet. |
