Tailgate is not automatic. Just unlatches off the button.

Very likely the struts have lost pressure. They are cheap from aftermarket sources and quite easy to replace. The hardest part is holding the tailgate open while replacing. Get an assistant or a length of wood.

You have to lift it but it should not take much effort and as others have said the struts are cheap and easy to fit. Also check the bonnet struts. A flashing fault on the parking sensor system generally means a wiring fault on the sensor which is due to their terrible design. A GAP IID tool will tell you which one it is. A fix requires removal of the bumper so hope it's a rear sensor as the front bumper is a PITA to remove. The rear cam does stay on for a bit once drive is engaged but should go off eventually 2012 TDV8 Vogue (L322) |
